THE SIN SHIRK IS NOT LIKE OTHER SINS IT IS A VERY SPECIAL KIND OF SIN WHICH WILL NEVER BE TOLERATED BY ALLAH AT THE DAY OF JUDGMENT AS HE SAYS IN QURAN ANY SIN OTHER THAN SHIRK HE MAY FORGIVE IF HE WANTS BUT HE IS NOT GOING TO FORGIVE THOSE WHO MAKE SHIRK WITH ALLAH UNTILL TEY MAKE TAUBA AND NEVER DO IT AGAIN.

In Islam, Shirk (Arabic: شرك) or polytheism means to consider anyone god other than the God, Allah.[1]Shirk is also associating partners with him, giving his characteristics to others beside him, or not believing in his characteristics.[1][2]
Within Islam, shirk is the most heinous and unforgivable crime.[1] Allah forgives any sin except for committing shirk.(4:48) It is the vice that is opposed to the virtue of tawhid, literally "declaring [that which is] one", often translated into the English term monotheism.[1][2]

Idolatry in Jewish thought
Judaism strongly prohibits any form of idolatry, and holds that idolatry is not limited to the worship of a statue or picture itself, but also includes worship of the Almighty Himself with the use of mediators and/or any artistic representations of God such as "Jesus on the Cross". According to this understanding, even if one directs his worship to the Almighty Himself and not to a statue, picture, or some other created thing, but yet he uses a created thing as a representation of the Almighty in order to assist in his worship of the Almighty, this is also considered a form of idolatry. In fact, Maimonides explains in chapter 1 of Hilkhot Avodat Kokhavim (Avoda Zarah) in the Mishneh Torah that this is one of the ways that idolatry began.

In the New Testament of the Bible, in the fourth chapter of the Gospel according to Mathew, the sixth and seventh verses clearly indicate that Jesus is an obedient mortal and God is the Master and Lord accdording to his saying in the seventh verse:

In this chapter we read that the Devil actually carried the Messiah, and took him from place to place. How can the devil carry God? Glory be to Allah; He is above such blasphemy!
Then the Devil orders him to prostrate before him and worship him, even tempting him with worldly possessions. How can the Devil even dare such an audacity with God? When the Devil wanted Jesus to comply with his orders, he (Jesus) replied by saying that it was written (in the previous Books):
“Thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God; And Him only
shaltthou serve.”------ Mathew 4:10

Sikh views of idolatry
The Guru Granth Sahib, the central scripture and Guru of Sikhs, strongly rejects idolatory.[15] Idolatry is also rejected by the Dasam Granth a scripture by the tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, and within numerous rehatnamas (documents codifying the code of conduct of the Sikh religion), such as the Sikh Rehat Maryada and the Budha Dal Rehatnama.Sikhism criticises the practice of using idols to represent God and pray to him, and instead puts forward that the shabad, the word of God. is his "true" murti (deific representation), meaning that true prayer and worship of God is through meditation.

1) ASSOCIATING PARTNERS WITH ALLAH:-
This is the biggest of the shirk that associating partners directly with ALLAH and asuming that there are (nauzubillah) more than one ALLAH.
It is very important to mention here that in other languages many people use the word GOD instead of Allah for the Mighty Creator of all the Universe, The Word ALLAH is a very special and unique word for the Creator of all the Worlds ALLAH or Elah in arabic are specific words which should be used to call Our Mighty Creator.
If we say him GOD then there is a possibilty of saying GODESS as well because the plural of the word GOD exists in the dictionary which could also open the doors to shirk, The Word Allah or Elah are specific names of ALLAH there is no plural of the word ALLAH in any dictionary it is a very unique name.
saying that ALLAH has some partners in his territory and those partners have some authority in his decision making that is the worst possible shirk, no one has any authority NO ANGEL, NO JINN and NO PERSON and NO SOUL neither any thing created has any authority in his decision making HE is all alone in is Ruling & decision making.
2) Giving ALLAH's characteristics to others beside Him, or not believing in His characteristics:
Allah Has his own unique characteristics and his characteristics are so much that they cannot be counted they are countless, some of his characteristics are written in the islamic scriptures and if we say that some one or some thing else also have that same characteristics in the same way as ALLAH owns those characteristics or some of his characteristics are shared or not believing in ALLAH's characteristics this would also lead to shirk.
3) worshiping someone else than ALLAH:
It is only the right of ALLAH to be worshiped and to be called for at the time of need or help required or in the pray(dua) and only in the name of ALLAH charity or some food is to be given for the sake of sawab/neki it is only the Right of ALLAH no one can have a share in any of these rights of ALLAH.
if you call upon anyone else instead of ALLAH at the time of need He doesn't like that because He ALLAH is the one who put you in that trouble and you are His property and only He ALLAH can take you out of that problem no one else whatsoever other than ALLAH can take you out of that problem so only remember Him in you heart at that time ALLAH is sufficient to come to your help.
